Dear H2,
On the New Construction Final inspection Form 1042 -- I have a client that wishes for me not to include a dollar amount for unfinished construction when it is the buyer's responsibility.
For instance, instead of "seed and straw by owner ($750)" they would prefer the statement "seed and straw not complete, responsibility of the owner."
They do want dollar amounts for builder work not completed. I feel that unfinished work should be accounted for, no matter if the builder or the purchaser is responsible. What do you think?

Dear RM,
Final Inspections are not appraisals unless they include a value estimate. Therefore, I think the client is entitled to ask you for whatever they want as long as it it not intended to confuse people.
Of course it also your right to say no.
